39 million people are blind and 246 million have moderate or severe visual impairment. 90% of the world’s visually impaired live in developing countries. About 65% of all people who are visually impaired are aged 50 and older, while this age group comprises about 20% of the world’s population. With an increasing elderly population in many countries, more people will be at risk of visual impairment due to chronic eye diseases and ageing processes. They can’t walk, Work and go outside for daily essential food items.
Last year we were able to support 20,000 blind and partially sighted people and provided them food at their door step!
